We all know how difficult it can be if you are struggling with your finances and continue trying to negotiate with creditors. Chances are repossession is imminent and the foreclosure hearings have already begun. Nothing is more frustrating than to not make enough money to pay your bills. Bankruptcy is a law that has evolved that will provide the consumer relief from certain debts when they are unable to make the payments. In fact there are two different types of bankruptcies that will provide the consumer with the relief that they are searching for.

Chapter 7 Bankruptcy: This is the type that will allow you to get a fresh start by forgiving certain debts and discharging them. Even though your debts are forgiven as a consumer your credit is scarred for at least 7-10 years.

Chapter 13 Bankruptcy: This is the type that the court will mandate a payment plan that will be set up so you can repay all your debt. Choosing this type of bankruptcy will still affect your credit as well; however will show up as you have repaid your debts.

So is bankruptcy your way out?

The truth is that you are the only one who is going to be able to know if this is going to help you with your finances. Everyone is different and you are the only one who knows about your finances. So no matter what anyone tells you; we all know that the final decision is going to land on your shoulders.

While no one ever wants to deal with this situation or struggle with their finances; the truth is that bankruptcy can be a way out especially if you are struggling with your finances.
